Cerddorion announces winners of Emerging Composers Competition 2016

Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble is pleased to announce the winners of our Fourth Annual Emerging Composers Competition, designed to foster the creation and performance of new works for mixed chorus.

First Prize

Antonio Somma of Naples, Italy, for Sussurro a pelo d’acqua in una notte in pieno agosto (Madrigale)

Second Prize

Kyle Pederson of St. Paul, Minnesota, for Stars

The winning compositions will be premiered by Cerddorion on May 13th(Brooklyn) and May 15th (Manhattan), as part of the program entitled Draw On, Sweet Night.
